Cities and Software
Two points where urban geography had influence on software development: 1. Design Patterns: The idea comes from planning cities (mentioned in the GOF Book) 2. Software Entropy, which is caused by “one broken window”, as Hunt and Thomas write in “The Pragmatic Programmer”. There seem to be similarities in the way cities and software are organized (at least some).
